Hey dudes and dudettes,
Any of you gamers running a PS3 (or XBox 360, for that matter) on an HD monitor?
Currently, Ive got my PS3 hooked up to an SD TV. I'm ready to upgrade and get the most out of these killer graphics.
Suggestions for a monitor that really shows off next gen graphics?
Thanks! |

Honestly, most monitors today will be able to do it.
Either via direct HDMI or HDMI to DVI.
Just surf around for a monitor you want, then confirm that model can have a PS3 hooked up to it.
Enjoy. |

I use my PS3 through a projector to max out the screen size. It takes up almost the whole wall of my bedroom.
Great for the sports games.
But the PSN is still down for me so haven't been using it at all recently. |

Well, if you just want HD then any HD monitor will do, but there's quite a bit more to consider.
You should consider size - 22" is fairly standard these days, great for most things but could be a bit small if watching movies with more then one person. Of course, as you go up in size you go up in price.
TN or IPS panels. TN panels are much cheaper, but IPS panels are considerably brighter and have much better viewing angles.
120hz. If you're interested in 3d then a 120hz monitor is necessary. If you're not interested in 3d then the smoother picture and higher (potential) framerate displays for PC games is worth the price of admission.
Of course, it really depends on how much you want to spend. The split right now seems to be that you can buy a nice 23/24" IPS panel monitor for around the same price or cheaper then a 22" TN 120hz monitor. |

| Sony just announced a pretty sweet Resistance 3 deal with that, a pair of 3D glasses, and a 3D-ready 24" HDTV for $499 in the US, I bet it'll be available in .jp and maybe here. |

I saw that, sounds very interesting. The price isn't bad considering the bundle as a whole. |
