What is Indonesian food comparable to? |
*beep* South East Asian food. Really there is a reason that it hasn't taken off all over the world. It's boring compared to Thai, Veitnam Indian... and not nearly as good.

Thailand and Vietnam aren't Southeast Asia? |

Sorry, didn't realize what your *beep* meant.
HTF am I supposed to read whatever foul word you wrote that came out as "*beep*"? Guess your definition of "read" encompasses "read my mind".
And yes, we're all morons compared to you.

I used to live in Malayasia, and I was having a craving for some Nasi Ayam (chicken rice) and roti chanai (pancakes and dahl) about a month ago. Bali didn't do anything to staitisy my craving. However, it's as good as you're going to get here. |

In other words most people don't care for it.
Note for the future
When you call someone an 'Ignoramus' it would help your cause not to prove them correct in your own arguement.

That doesnt suggest that it isn't good. Of course Thai and Viet are popular and alot of this owes to the larger number of people from these countries living in Australia. I have taken numerous friends to Indonesian restaurants over the years and they have enjoyed it immensely. I stand by my assertion, you are an ignoramus. Just because you say its shit doesnt make it so.
Cheers

Indonesian food is great but Bali is not a very good place to eat it and is expensive for what it is. The best food I had in SE Asia was definatly in Malaysia, Malay food is one of the most underrated cuisines in the world.
Singapore is amazing for food some of the best stuff to be eaten can be found in Singapore, my favourite local speciality was the stingray cooked in banana leaves. Hmmmm! |
