Sorry, i know this has been done to death. My question is specific though.

Is it possible to get the FBI to forward the check to the Dept of State in DC rather than sending it to me in Korea, and then me sending it to DC?

I don't really have a stable mailing address in the states so it's basically all through me. If I could skip this step, I think it would save me some time.

BTW I am originally from California, but hardly a resident any longer.

And, how likely would it be to get this thing in my hands by mid August if I were to mail it out this week?

Cheers.

Did you already sent out your application in the mail? If yes, I believe the answer is no.

Getting it back (with an apostille) in mid August is very possible.

I didn't do it, but I know its possible. I believe the directions are in the "get it done ASAP" thread unless someone who has done it wants to chime in.

But when you sent it in the mail make SURE you include a memo stating you need it signed by Kimberly for an official signature and stamped because you are getting it apostilled in DC. Otherwise DC won't apostille it.

Thanks, I understood that much. My question is, after getting the cbc and the seal, would the FBI be willing to send all that documentation straight to DC, rather than sending it to me and me mailing it across the continent and an ocean again?

As in, could I potentially send everything in one big packet and receive the apostilled CBC?

There was nothing that I saw on the FBI website or at Dave's that made it sound possible to have them send it to the state dept for the apostille. From what it sounds like you can't even be guaranteed to get the signature and seal reqd for the apostille even if you request it.

And it sounds like you'll have to do the same process for the apostilled diploma. But that is quicker.
