I'm just curious what people on Dave's have bought as souvenirs for Koreans or other people not from your country.
I have to buy a souvenir for someone. I'm from Canada. Other than ice wine, I don't have too many good gift ideas. Some people say I should buy maple syrup. That's a bit ridiculous because you can buy it in department stores in Korea. A souvenir should be something you can't buy outside of your home country. |

I gave a bottle of Tabasco sauce to some friends, and they loved it. |

You're not giving this to people at your work, right? |

lol I think they faked it. You can buy Tabasco at every mart in the country for like 4,000 won. And yes, it is the real stuff.
Who is the present for?
I have had good success with hand made candies, a 6 pack of beer that I made, post cards, a collection of older money etc. |

Why not give them coffee...man?
I'm from Chicago, so I give them something uniquely Chicago without being overly tacky. If it's for someone younger a sweatshirt could be nice, older woman=maybe some local candy/chocolate, older man=booze. I was also serious about the coffee. Think and buy local and you'll do fine. |
