I'm trying to make pulled pork and the coteacher at my school said that butchers don't really care pork shoulder or butt. Is this true? If not, what do I ask for in at the butcher?
Thanks for any help. |

Go to Costco and buy a pork loin, makes better pulled pork than shoulder or butt anyway. |

Costco sells USDA Boston Butt for around $2.50 a pound. They come in cryovac packs of two weighing around 7-8 pounds each.
The also sell smaller cuts of Korean pork shoulder, unfrozen and much more expensive. |

All Korean butchers have pork shoulder. It's called jan-ji. I buy it quite often for pulled pork, but yes, it is expensive. |

Thanks folks. Costco will probably have to be it. 2.50/ lb isn't bad at all. |
