Just curious. I'm Canadian and will travel back home this summer. My passport is valid until December this year. Do you think I would have problems re-entering Korea or going to Canada via the US?

Probably not, but when do you plan on renewing it? Why not do it before you travel?

You should renew your passport now. Traveling with a passport that has less than 6 months on it can create entry issues at immigration in many countries.

Also, since your passport is still valid for 6 months now, you may still be eligible for the express simplified renewal.

At any rate, always better to have a passport that is valid for more than 6 months when you travel.

Just check with each country that you intend to visit. Some countries will let you travel if your vacation is for a short time. I googled the same thing recently. I would give you the link, but it's on the school computer. Can you wait until Monday.

But saying that, maybe a new passport is the way to go!

I would renew it now, you will have to renew it soon anyway.

Get it out of the way and be free of this for another few years.

Canada is a member of the six-month club as far as the US is concerned. So you will have no problems in the US, as long as your passport is valid through the duration of your stay.
