If you've done any amount of research online, then you know Wonderland's reputation.

Folks, I think I found the problem here regarding both Wonderland and CDI. Yes, the various searches one can do will show a fair amount of negative stuff. The thing is, the newbie, er, valiant and dedicated aspiring Native English Teacher falls into one of the following groups:

  1. Can't believe the horror stories are true, not even remotely so.
  2. Only sees the dollar signs (or their native country's monetary symbol) and discounts the horror stories.
  3. Believes the horror stories but also believes that can't happen to them. And if it does happen to them, they believe the South Korean government works the way their home country government does.

In the last few threads posted by aspiring Wonderland/CDI teachers, I've noticed a decided change in stance by a few long-time posters here: the posters are just giving up. "Let 'em rot" seems to be the new motto.

OP: Care to guess why they're saying "Let 'em rot"?
