Yeah, but what do I know anyway. Supposedly my word counts for *beep* here, and according to Gordo Im wrong and hes right. Now, the fact that I have had first hand experience quitting, getting permission to work and none of that with LORs, while Gordo is theorizing out of his ass again, doesnt matter. Gord is right. BUAHAHAH

But, to be fair, Gord is usually right and, if indeed you are right, this would be your first.

Gord is a pompous ass, who isnt right. He just has the stamina to argue his position the longest. On this issue, hes dead wrong but Im waiting to see him argue it to death. As for never right, you are the perfect guy to speak beaver. Finally, I invite you to read any nutrition or fitness based threads, as well as this one to see when Im right. So anyway, shove it.

Nope. Gord stops arguing when it's clear he's lost.

You could very well be correct in the nutrition and fitness-based threads -- I don't read 'em.

You're maybe even right in this thread.

However, I like to goad you for the amusement of reading your 'shove it' style rapier wit. And, just to get into the game on your level, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks on you.

Nope. I'm not a big guy. In fact, I'm pretty sure that you have more muscles in your head than I have in my entire body.

Nope. I've been on the board a little longer than Gord. Logically, he'd be my sock; however, we are all aware that logic is not your strong point.

The definition of sock is someone who worships another. You are Gord's official cheerleader. Grow some dignity.

sock puppet n. Well, you blew your first point.

Well, not unlike a lot of what you spout, the way you understand it is not the same way as the rest of the world understands it.

I think Gord, if he reads this thread, will not appreciate being compared to me as we have completely different styles. If you can't see that imagine the problems you have seeing the nuances in everything else. . .

What does my spine have to do with anything? Is it random insult time? Cool. . . let's see. . . when God was giving out shit you thought he said wit and asked for a headful.

Zuh? We're talking about this thread, correct?

Let's recap. I quoted the a mix of "other threads reached this conclusion" and noted it as such when talking about E2 issuing. Not really wrong because that's what those threads said, and I cited is such instead of being "the rule of law". You cited them as being wrong, but failed to back up your words with links. What I did declare as absolute was that quitting a job when on an F2 meant you didn't have to leave the country, which is true. You'll also note that in citing the conclusions the previous threads reached, I requested someone just head over to the Immigration website and provide a link to the actual answer.

Though I am curious why you are saying you are right. You raised two points: the first being an E2 visa is not required to teach English when one has an F2, and that one can change jobs with impunity. Neither of these statements are correct as others have plainly explained. You still need to get an E2 visa to teach, and you still need permission from Immigration to change E2 visas.

Pro-tip, save the revised history until another thread when people can't easily check your claims.

Finally, I noted your words don't count for much because you tend to be specularly wrong on many things, including this very thread, and that you were going to need links to back up your claims rather than having us "trust you". Surprising no one, you provided no links and everything you said was wrong.

Ultimately, "informing" someone that it's "this way" or "that way" at immigration is like trying to force the water go down the drain in the wrong direction. Useless. And wasteful.

I have a f2-1 and an E2 and i have cancelled the E2 without a bosses approval twice. BUT.....the second time i was also flying to Canada and told immigration at the airport to cancel the E2 but keep the F2-1 and they did it without a problem.
