Anyone have any good recommendations for locations for a weekend near the ocean? Busan? Jeju? Another coastal region? Also, preferably with Hanok house accommodations. Been doing some research, but any further advice would be welcome and appreciated Smile

Dunno about hanok, but a road trip down the east coast from Sok-cho to Ulsan will provide you with a pretty nice string of beaches and scenery.

Sokcho! It's only a few hours away. They have a nice beach. Fun park with scooters and things. Lots of restaurants. Close to Soraksan if you want to check that out as well.

It's for a birthday thing, so merriment and relaxation would be the theme.

How about Jeju? I've actually never been there, but from the anecdotal reports it seems like a pretty nice place. It seems there are two "sides" kind of? North and South side? Any recommendations for places to stay or the more interesting "side"?

If the search function was available I'd search there - sorry if this is repetitive of other posts (which I'm almost sure it is)... Smile
