I have been told I am attending this orienation/training this week. Anyone else know of it? I saw that there was one last week in Yangpyeong. The main English teacher at my school seems to go out of his way to keep me in the dark on these matters.

yeah, there is a GEPIK orientation this week for returning teachers. At least your co-teacher said something about it! Mine doesn't tell me anything and then I have to find things out myself. Get on him or her about the information as I heard the orientation is at a different place than years prior. I'm not going though, so that's about all the information I have!

Sounds like the usual big booze Bahama mama blowout. Is there anything for all of the foreign teachers who were laid off by GEPIK while GEPIK was planning this big blowout?

My friend said it's dry this time. No boozing at all. God forbid!

Its never dry. NEVER

If there is a convenience store on site there is NO WAY they will stop selling booze to appease Dain Bae. They will hide it. But when you find it, the sale is yours Wink

Maybe they are buyging all the booze and food for this blow out at Costco? That way making it much more affordable.

I heard that someone asked a question about what are the rural schools, at this orientation and that Dain Bae said that GEPIK will never post a list of the rural schools for extra pay and vacation. Is that true? Who was there? Who heard what she said?
