Does anyone know where I can take broken/old electronics to be recycled? I tried google and just found articles about what Korea is doing to recycle electronics, not where I can actually take them. |

Kick 'em to the curb. The same old men who go around collecting boxes and paper for recycling money will snatch up your old computer before the sun rises. I heard they can get more out of it for scrap than you will for reselling it. If you live in a building with a bigger garbage sorting area, leave 'em in a pile for the security guard to sort through...
And no, I'm not being rude. It really is the preferred method in Korea. Recycling is free.
Special note: batteries should be disposed of carefully. I usually collect mine in a plastic jug and turn them over to the security guard when I move out. I think some phone companies will take your old phone for free, too. |

The correct way is to go to the Gu office and buy a sticker, which you then put on the item you want to recycle and leave it in the garbage disposal area.
