|
|
I recently got a new smart phone, Optimus 2x, and have decided I would much rather get a cheap tab instead.
It is worth 1,000,000 so If i want to buy out my contract I have to pay that much.
I am offering someone to take on a 2+(3 years but really can buy it down to 2 if you really want to after 2 years) 55,000 a month unlimited data, 300 minutes, 300 texts, and take my 300,000 won.
I think this is a reasonable offer, but any suggestions are welcome as well. This is a great phone for the price (not necessarily as good as galaxy s2, but you get 300,000)
Also, the phone is like new and I have everything and the box.
Ask any questions!

the optimus 2x is most certainly not worth 1mil won. the galaxy sII can be had for 850k and it's without dispute the best phone on the market right now.
the optimus 2x, while i haven't checked it's retail price lately has surely dropped to the 650-700k level. |

I still see it at 1 million, or the price is not mentioned. I would have to downgrade it to 800,000 new. Buying price around 500-550,000 used plus whatever the calling plan is. I am unclear what the actual numbers are.

Are you saying you paid for 5.5 months or maybe you have 5.5 months left that you paid for?
I wonder why someone paid 1,000,000 and committed themselves to a potential 3 year calling plan over 1,800,000 won (more than twice the value of the phone).

I hate to say this but even if the OP had purchased the 2X the day it was released they were ripped off...
1) 3 year contract? Does anyone really do anything over 2 years?
2) It's not even a contract, it's not the same concept here as stateside. It's more of a financing/payment plan. This means that depending on the plan he chose the price of the phone would go down as well. He went with the 55k plan which would price the phone at 814k when it was first released.
3) Retail price is irrelevant unless he bought the phone straight out, in which case he wouldn't be in a "contract".
4) Unscrupulous shops will often overcharge foreigners for phones which is why I suggest always buying from an official T-World/Qook Show/OZ store (공식인증 데리점/지점) rather than a privately owned licensed shop. I had to learn this the hard way when I got ripped off on a 9700 when I first came to Korea.
5) To the OP, your best choice is the following: Buy the new tab you want on a 2 year plan, make the payments on the 2X alongside the Tab payments (will be the same amount you've been paying monthly on the phone for the past months), and sell the phone as a used 2X (you'll get way more than 300k). This way you will be paying the same per month as you are now plus the tab payments (which at 2 yrs should only add about 15k per month to your current bill) and you will be able to get at least 60-70% of the money back on your 2X.
If you have any questions on details PM me. |

The OP can't open a new phone until this one is gone unless he has a F2,.F4, or F5 visa..so that plan is not very viable. |
