Hello,

I am trying to plan my trip to Korea for next Spring

I am actually thinking now that I might go to Spain to teach English (I have a friend there who is going to try to get me a job Smile so I may stay there from September to December.Im not happy staying in miserable Ireland with the miserable weather and with my part time job as a Special Needs assistant my hours are being cut by the government again from 18 hours to 13 hours per week. So,you know,it is kind of depressing. But this is my way out.I can still work in Korea public school AND do something exciting for the Autumn term!!!!

Now what I will have to do is get all my documents apostilled BEFORE I LEAVE FOR SPAIN and send them to Korea while I am in Spain. So I will probably be sending them off around November as I am applying for GEPIK.

What I want to know is,AM I PERMITTED TO SEND APOSTILLED and NOTARISED documents that have been stamped 4 months ago?
I will get them done in August, send them in November.

ALSO second question-
As soon as GEPIK tell me 'YOU HAVE GOT THE JOB!' does that mean I have to get my visa immediately or can I accept the job but get the visa later--ie just before I go to Korea???
Do I have to do the interview in the embassy in Ireland or can I just do it over the phone?
Im just thinking I will be in Spain so may not be able to get to the embassy, you know.

It would be great if you could let me know the answers to my questions,
Thank you esl friendz,
from Natasha

I think time is not an issue when it comes to the Degree. I've handed in degrees that were notarized a year or two ago. No problems encountered there.

However, i think there is a time limit with the Criminal Record Check (for obvious reasons). I've read various opinion on this site, ranging from 3 months to 6 months time limit. Maybe someone could clarify that point.

6 months on the background check. No leeway if you are out of the country.

Thanks, now I have a question about the Visa.

If i do decide to go to Korea but have to leave again because the school is so shoddy,am I able to get a new visa for Korea immediately after I have cancelled the old one?
Or is there a certain amount of time I must wait before I am allowed to obtain a new Visa?

I know that might sound like a strange question but it's just because I would want to get into a public school after quitting the hagwon and would therefore need a new Visa.

You literally made A THREAD about this question less than a week ago.

http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?p=2660563&highlight=#2660563

"But it really truly puts my mind at ease to think that I can be issued with a new visa so easily!!!!!!"

WHY ARE YOU ASKING THE SAME EXACT QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER AGAIN?

Also, coming here for a hagwon and planning to pull a runner ahead of time so you can get a public school position later in the year makes you one of the least respected people I've ever seen on these boards.

Mods, PLEASE give this person their very own thread so they don't come over here like a broken record.

No,marsavalanche,in the last post, written 1 week ago,I was asking IF I could get a new Visa.

In this new post I am asking,IS THERE A SPECIFIC AMOUNT OF TIME I MUST WAIT BEFORE I get a new Visa.

If somebody can answer my question,I would be very happy Laughing

Thank-you my esl friendz! Razz

Same goes for transcripts.
Just so long as the envelope has not been opened.

Yeah, I know, this is crazy.. sure you've been out of the country so couldn't have been arrested for anything, but hey, we need a new check

Transcripts are no longer necessary
