Has anyone received an E2 Visa from the Korean Consulate in Toronto lately? I have my Visa Issuance number and I'm just trying to get an idea how long it might take them to put the Visa page in my passport, so i can buy my ticket and get back to Korea already! I've had 2 E2s in the past and the wait times were between 1 week and 2 months........ The consulate was not able to give me any kind of timeline. Any recent experiences would be helpful. I'm trying to be optimistic I can arrive before my contract starts!
Thank you ^^

Hey,

I got my visa there over a year ago, but I just had to go in for my interview and they put the visa in my passport right on the spot. When I first sent everything to the Toronto office it took maybe a week or less for them to contact me to come in for the interview.

I'm not sure if that helps you, but that was my experience.

Good Luck!

5 business days. Thats how long I had to wait 5 months ago. Same goes for my friend who just put in his visa application this week. They won't rush it either. Sad

They say 5-10 business days and give you a website where you can see when it's done. Probably 5 business days should be OK. They won't rush it for you.

Thanks everyone for the help. This will be my 3rd E2, but I didn't have an interview for my second. The consulate was very unsure about what I have to do, because everything is changing all the time it seems. I wanted to send it in by mail, and pick it up/have the interview in person, but I was told this was not possible. I still have 6 weeks before my contracts starts, just wanted to arrive early and get apartment hunting. I'm taking the housing allowance this time. I've learnt from experience^^ Once again, thanks!
