|
|
I came across a sale on kyobobook.co.kr. The site sells English-language books at a discount and is now clearing inventory with a 70-percent off sale on certain items. I ordered a bunch of books at a firesale.
The site is in Korean only, and surprisingly, many of the regular English-language books offered are cheaper than What the Book in Itaewon. Food for thought.
The sale ends July 28. |

The sale is not that great mostly because Kyobo's stuff is already overpriced.
Their sale prices are about the same as the everyday prices at places like Yes24 or Educa.
And, if you have a Korean business license, you can get an additional 20% off the listed prices at Yes24 and Educa, making the price even cheaper than the "sale" prices at Kyobo. |

Kyobo's stuff have come down in price quite a bit over the last few years. But this sale was NICE as many books I had wanted or was interested in was priced as low as 5,000 won. |

A lot of those books are fluff anyway.
Harry Potter? Eat Pray Love? Brida?
Blech. |
