So it says that I have to buy Japan rail passes at least 7 days in advance. I am leaving for Japan exactly one week from tomorrow. I want to buy them tonight, but all the travel agents are closed right now.
I read that you can call the travel agent and order them, wire money and pick them up the next day. I'm wondering if its too late to get them? Is there a place to buy them if you are going to Japan in less than 7 days?
This process is really stupid. I wish you could just buy them online and print off an e-ticket or better yet I wish you could just buy them in Japan but anyways..
Can someone please tell me what website they used to buy them or what travel agent they called and if I have enough time. Thanks! |

| I have never heard of the 7 days in advance rule before and I couldn't find that info on the JR rail pass website. I bought my pass the day before I left for Japan and had no problems using it. Where did you see that requirement? |
