Hey so I've really enjoyed my time here so far and want to stay on for a second year but would like to change my hagwon. My contract is up at the beginning of January and my visa lasts until the end of January so I would like to do some travelling for a week or two and maybe a summer camp and then get a new job, I should be able to find one before my contract is up but anyways I'm just wondering what documents will I need to get etc. Thanks.

IF you find the new job and effect the transfer before your ARC expires:

ARC
passport
new contract
application
fee (60k for the transfer and 30k for the extension)
new employers business registration (copy)
new employers letter of guarantee (sponsorship form).

.

Also ttompatz if you wouldn't mind indulging me, what are the chances of getting hired by a public school while already here? I haven't applied for EPIK but sometimes I see that there are public school positions available here on daves by recruiters.

I personally know about 200 teachers who were in Korea and were direct hires by the (public) school they now work for after spending their first year in a hagwan.

Go for it. Contact a few recruiters or just prepare a bilingual resume and hit the streets in the neighborhood you want to work in.
