Two of the best lines from the entire series growled/uttered in this episode:
"I am the one who knocks." -WW
"Someone has to protect this family from the man who protects this family." -SW |

Count me as one of those people who view Walt not as a criminal mastermind/Heisenberg the badass, but as a guy way in over his head and seeing his world collapse, but just managing to stay afloat. |

I think we're about to see a lot more Biblical overlays in this series. Possibly some sort of 7 deadly sins type stuff.
Gus certainly seems like The Evil One.
I've always seen Walt as a Faustian character. Maybe his sin is pride?
Skyler- Greed
Marie- Sloth. Her theft and prosperity without labor.
Walt Jr.- Gluttony. Always eating. I see something bad with his food one day. Possibly the poison Walt whipped up.
Hank- Anger
Jesse- Envy. Always wishing he were someone else. Looking up to father figures.
Saul- Lust? He always seems to have vague associations with ladies of ill-repute.
Just some thoughts...But Vince Gilligan has said that this is ultimately a morality tale, so I think there might be an increasing focus on "divine judgment" and the like. |

That was fun, I felt as if I were there next to him getting the stress out
Good episode. Gus must die. Hank is a supercop. |

hmm you are on to something. It's obvious that pride is walt's biggest problem. We'll see that pop up many more times. |

Yes, I think this was the best episode of the season so far. The season so far has gone slowly compared to other seasons, but things do seem to be picking up...
As for Gus, he's the one character I don't understand at all. |

whats not to understand?
i think his character is an exceptional type of evil
presents himself as the utmost normal, good citizen and does the most unspeakable horrors |

I think in the new episode Gus' death is being foreshadowed. The cartel doesn't seem pleased with him, Jess's out to kill him and then we got Hank who is extremely suspicious of him. |

I don't understand his actions. Why did he say no to the cartel? Sounds like he's as egotistical as Walt. Why is he befriending Jesse? |

Gus is using Jessie to get to Walt. I think that he will eventually try to persuade Jessie to kill Walt, so he (Jessie) can be in charge of the lab. Gus probably feels he could have exert more control over Jessie than he can with Walt. |
