Is it true that the immigration department is requesting all profs teaching at all national universities to submit to a document/criminal record check by the December 2011, regardless of previous checks or length of time in Korea?
This is being requested by a local immigration office, which is stating that all national universities must submit to this request. Are there any profs out there in a similar situation?

I haven't heard anything about that at all, I believed that as long as you had your ARC and your previous background check worked, that was enough to show you couldn't possibly have received more charges. |

This is for Jeonnam Province. Apparently it is also for all other institutes as well. Has anyone else had a similar request?
Thanks |
