*Edited minor translation errors on the fifth and sixth lines:
from "you think you are the only human being?" to "you think only your race is considered human?"

So many half Koreans are proud people, living the good life. Maybe not the most advantaged, but I personally know many who are doing great. They are mostly happy, content people with many talents. And I see more and more of halfie kids in Korea as well. This is certainly a positive thing.
But while we are feeling content and satisfied, our brethren, our kismen and women are suffering greatly in Korea. Especially if they lack one of their parents or omg u sound like Yankee "Mad English Skillz."

You parents who want to send your "hybrid" kids to school in Korea.. Be aware of some realities.. while many places in Korea are great I am sure, you just might expose your kids to this kind of sitch..

Here is one of the recent posts from Naver.com Q&As
Many posts like this are made by half Korean kids of various age, mainly 12 and up.
I used Google translate to supplement my lame Korean skillz, but then it turned out google translate is the one who could benefit from my supplementary skillz... So I fixed up some obviously flawed sentences to make this at least somewhat readable.
Thanks a lot to YR-C for overall.. general translation.
The interpretation of that translation with mediocre understanding of the Korean language is done by me.

Blatant and Blind injustice like this make my blood boil. But I do not have a solution. While I don't expect this sort of thing to be solved overnight, I would appreciate more active initiatives taken to prevent this sort of thing happening in the posterity.

Seems you and I share the same kind of circumstance

The only difference I have is that I have paler complexion, bluer eyes, and blonder hair colour than my peers

I get shunned just because of that and only get attention from boys (I chose this translation because the context seems to suggest she is getting the sort of unwanted sexual advances.. kinda attention..). I am talented in many areas as well.

Because of this I am disliked (could be hated)

Or not even approached by my peers. I went up to confront the person responsible for

" 너만 사람이야? 너만 인간이야? 입장을 바꿔서 생각해봐.
getting everyone to shun me. I lashed out at her saying, " You think only your race is considered human?"
Think about this whole deal in my shoes!"

"Have you ever thought about how you'd feel if I returned the favour in kind?"
"Being of mixed blood is no big deal in Korea nowdays."

"But how come I have to deal with your insults (chose that word over verbal abuse) and violence? (She means here that she gets beat up on a regular basis not only by this Korean bully, but by her gang as well)"

"I've often contemplated emigration and even suicide because of you!"

"And you, being ignorant, keep on harrassing me? (Seems she uses the term w/ mood MUCH stronger than just mere "Harass") And you call yourself a human being?"

"Would you feel swell if you were denied your human rights? I got hurt many times because of you,"

"had even lost hope............ You have no idea, do you? That I tried to kill myself."

You continue this path and God will deal with you the way you deserve it!"
Like this I told her off.

But then she started beating me up, kicking me. I tried to resist not only the beating but my temper. Tried to resist retaliating.

But then my leg ligaments got stretched and damaged.

And the beating broke my arm bones (not sure if she means humerus or radius or both)
I also almost got to the point of suffering memory loss from the beating.

I did not want to live on like this in this world. I hated everyone in the world.

And thence I have much interest in mixed blood people.

So I've stumbled on your post and all I got to say is keep your chin up and never lose hope.

Your post encouraged me greatly. I really appreciate it

Talk to a non-white person who went to school in North America pre-1990. Probably similar stories. There was even one older Japanese-Canadian gentleman that I once met that barely ate rice when growing up, because his father was so worried about racism.

That's the thing. This sort of things don't happen like it did three freaking decades ago in Noth America. Of course there are isolated cases but the legal HELL is dished out promptly and the police don't listen to any excuses when it comes to racism. You can just read newspaper in Calgary or Winnipeg and find reads like "Police is looking for a man who yelled a racial derogatory word on the 1st street 7th avenue downtown. He yelled at a driver for blocking his path and then walked off into the underpass."

But these stories in Korea are current. And they are numerous. With NO support groups.
And believe me you, You think half-Asian kids fare any better here?
Half-Japanese kids probably suffer the most here from what we can read.
There's quite a lot of halfies at the school I teach. They don't really sem to have racism issues yet (They are mostly half Philippinos) But my co teachers tell me they will go through some real hell once they get to Junior High.

And so that makes it OK? Why do apologists like yourself have to hide behind the supposed wrongdoings of others?

And besides, you're wrong. I went to school in the Deep South in integrated public schools "pre-1990" and what prejudice there was doesn't compare with what's being described here.

As for the "older Japanese-Canadian gentleman, " he was projecting his prejudices upon others, something that many Asians do.

This used to sadden me more bt really, it's just the way of the world. Sad thing about growing up is you start to notice all the shit you missed before, if you were lucky enough to miss enough of it before..

Human beings are not far from the jungle and the two most powerful races on this planet are the white races and the North East Asian races. Both these groups (at least at the top level) are very into their own lineage and racial purity. Arians never disappeared I assure you. Because these groups are more into their racial supremacy, mixed kids will always be disadvantaged - not being racially pure on either side.

Exceptions to this would be Ruport Murdochs children for example. He and his Chinese wife have 2 mixed daughters - people may remember her for her 'volleyball' skills! Anyways, I assure you that his kids don't have to put up with abuse. I wouldn't want to be the unlucky bully that tried to beat on them - they're paractically royalty - espcially since they're half American half Chinese..

I also went to school in the Deep South pre-1990s, and it seemed the Black Americans were the bullies (minority) while Caucasians and Asians tended to keep to themselves...except the Rednecks in High School, they were also bullies, but less prone to aggression.

Get your facts straight dude.

It seems you are criticizing people for sending their non-Korean/half-Korean kids to schools in Korea. Unless more foreigners are willing to educate their kids in Korea, Korean attitudes will remain unchanged. Exposure is key, and the first few will have to take the brunt of abuse for things to change. There is only so much the government can do, but attitudes won't change without exposure to different people.

I didn't too much stock in this after the word "skillz" was used. In a casual post fine, but in one in which you are the OP of a serious subject, yeah...That and the terms "halfie" and "hybrid"...

I had a mixed friend(or looks very mixed) who's grown up.

One day she was pretty pissed off and sad(possibly crying).

Apparently some FOREIGNERS on the subway were talking about her loudly and assumed she's korean and can't speak english(she's fluent). They just chatted rudely and made all sorts of comments on her apperance.

Apparently you have no idea how we refer to ourselves. But of course, it was never expected of you.
