So moved into HBC a few months ago and got connected with KT internet. I must say that the quality of internet services that I have experienced this would have to be the worst.
I live with another person and when we start downloading on one computer it affects the internet when loading pages.
When I lived alone I had two computers and would download on one and use the other for internet stuff and never had this problem. I was downloading 10 movies at a time and it would not effect surfing the internet.
The other person lived in a different part of Seoul and used KT and had their flatmate downloading stuff (and themselves as well at the same time) and nothing was affected.
Does anyone have this problem in HBC using KT or any provider?
When the guy installed our internet he connected a new cable line to the main box on the street so I can't see it being that. We bought a Belkin wireless router so it is a good quality router so I can't see it affecting that.
My guess is that KT does not give a lot of bandwidth in this area.
Any thoughts? |

Having the same problem here with SK Telecom in Ansan. Puzzled just like you since in the past it was never a problem. Only really noticed it in the last 6 months. Worse at night. I also have a Belkin router but disconnected its still the same.
