| Steve Jobs, was something very rare; a true visionary, who helped create the world we live in. Started in all in a garage. |

Steve Jobs was a horrible human being who mistreated his loyal employees and let his daughter grow up in poverty while he made millions and had the gall to name a computer after her, Lisa.
His adoring, fawning fans obviously know even less about Jobs than they know about computers. I saw some praising him for inventing the mouse, which is pure nonsense. Jobs didn't invent anything, and never wrote a line of programming code in his life. The key design concepts for the Mac, which he took credit for, were stolen from Xerox PARC, including the mouse and GUI.
All Jobs did was transform Apple into a religion, with himself as the god, for millions of fools to worship. Apple is the Scientology of the computer world.
Did you know the original Mac used Microsoft software, including Microsoft Word? Did you know it was an funding from Microsoft and Bill Gates that allowed Apple to avoid bankruptcy?
I have used Macs at work and they crashed, sometimes by the hour, sometime, if I was lucky, only by the day. I see Apple worshipers who don't even know what the word "crash" means. They seem to think it involves reinstalling the operating system. Frankly, most Apple worshipers are delusional, and I have learned to not bother arguing with them. So don't expect a response to your computer-illiterate squeals.
Maybe one day, now that Jobs is dead, I might consider buying an Apple product, but I really don't feel the need to spend three times the price for a gadget to advertise the fact that I've got more disposable income than brains. People are dying in China to produce your shiny toys at sweatshop wages, and Jobs really didn't care.
Jobs was one of the world's great con men. Try doing some reading about the history of Apple and Jobs. I have talked to people who worked with Steve Jobs, and they really didn't like the greedy, selfish, lying, sadistic SOB. I doubt there has been a single tear shed for Jobs among his employees. He was the Ebeneezer Scrooge of the computer industry.
I will be glad to see the day come when average Joes stop worshiping the rich like they were rock stars, virtually begging them to take their money. Perhaps this is a step in the right direction, but I won't hold my breath. The world is full of sycophantic suckers, and there are new ones born every millisecond. |
