Hi,

I'm preparing myself for the possibility that the boxes that I sent from Korea to Australia may in fact never show up here. It has been 8 weeks, and no word, I know I shouldn't give up yet but...

Has anyone ever gone about tracking down lost items?? if so how?

I'm not going to get too worried yet, but would like to have some idea of how to go about tracking things?

Plus it's starting to get chilly here in the evenings, and some warmer clothes would be nice.

Thanks for the advice.

Do you have a receipt? Is there a tracking number on it? You can check the location of the package on the internet.

Just pay a visit to the post office and I'm sure you can find your stuff.

Thanks for replying-

really I can check it on a website??

Do you have the link??

I looked for both Korean and english websites but couldn't find anything.

The Australia post says it takes 3 months to get here from overseas- seems damn long, but everything in this country is slow-- or at least much slower than in Korea- or perhaps that is the culture shock speaking!

The boxes were insured, and I do have the receipts.

Just don't know how to track them.

thanks so much.

as you have insured them the chance of them going missing are much smaller. Take a trip to your local post office with the reciepts and what not and see if they have arrived. Or try calling Aust Post

Did you look far or what. I stuck in "Korean post" and got this immediately...

Haven't done this before have you? 8 weeks is still early for surface mail which is what I presume you are talking about. I'd give it the full three months before I started making a ruckus down the post office.

Hi,

My concern was that the boxes though they were addressed to me were actually sent to my Uni, as I didn't have an address in Australia to send them to.
Anyway, most of them have arrived. 3 more to come.

the saint-

thanks for the link but it only does tracking for EMS, which I certainly did not use.

I looked in Google.co.kr

you are right I did know that it was soon, but I was also interested in getting the information before I needed to start looking for them- and now.

I have done this before, but never to Australia, and I was never told 3 months before.

What's with the attitude?

can't we all play nice?

Cheers,

Chonbuk
