Dual Partition is the best way to do something like this. I have seen Hangul react strangely to XP English on several computers.

If you have your xp cd, go to the control panel and choose regional settings and add Korean and put in your XP cd when prompted. Worked for me.

If you have english xp, does it read korean, for example, on your start menu and programs menu?

I have done the disk thing, but still comes up with a load of strange characters on certain pages.

on the language settings dialogue somewhere is a setting for unicode programs or something like that change it to Korean and all the strange characters will disappear. Any programs installed before this change will have to be reinstalled to affect their dialogues.
