I wonder about these posts. I'm sure you are well-intentioned. But, when one learns to reads Korean, which is not hard at all, then one learns these words fast.
What have you posted so far anyway? Apple, tree, grape...? Help people out if you want, but do it well. How about words like, I don't know, um, "history" or something? Anyway, my point is, once a foreigner learns to read Hangul in the few hours it requires, he can buy a dictionary or look online and find out any word he likes.
Not to be a jerk, but your posts look pointless to me. Sorry. Maybe you can introduce expressions or sentences?
Why do I care? Not sure. I'm just bored. |

It took me more than a few hours to learn Hangeul. I would confuse the symbols. I am used to something that resembles a Latin alphabet like Russian and Greek. I learned how to read Russian very quickly and the same Greek, but for the longest time, I kept confusing the Korean characters for some reason like the U versus the O, and the A for Aw. Now, I can read Hangeul like it's nothing. I think it helped for me to take a class because I need to match the sounds with the characters to have it stick. Otherwise, it means almost nothing to me.
I can form plenty of sentences in Korean, but I can only have a conversation in broken Korean. I understood a cab driver's life-story the other day, and I was impressed that I could basically understand what he was saying. |

This is great and funny. However, with the way you wrote strawberry wouldn't it be something like Dal Gee? There is no g at the end.
As far as tangerine, I pronounced more Kewl with an l sound if it makes a difference. I am not up to where I can handle what TJ pasted:)
I like Gam:) It's amazing:) |

Don't sell yourself short. You can do it. It's a three for. You get the word. Other words. And grammar.
Which part did you get lost on? I'll break it down for you.

Try me in a few more months. I'll study a lot harder. I'll get it. I am still at the level of a beginner. I can read the menu easily, say basic phrases, get around, but I can't read that in terms of understand it. I don't quite have the vocabulary yet. |
