Hello,
My friend is filipina and she is working in Hong Kong right now, soon to be going to Canada on a working visa to do homecare. She has some time in between jobs and would like to come here to visit. Is it possible for a filipino to get a tourist visa? Do they have to apply? Is she more likely to get a tourist visa since she is coming from Hong Kong and not the Philippines?
Anyone with more information please? |

I wasn't able to pm you, but was just curious how your process went...I would like to have my filipino bf come for a visit and have heard a lot of negative, impossible posts and some hopeful ones. If you have time, please let me know if it worked out and if you have any advice. Thanks, Tammy |

A lot will depend on current work & visa situation.
If they have a job and a visa of an OECD country at the time of application it will be easy enough.
If not it will be extremely difficult.
