f Korea wants to experience true friendship, then they need to look to build a good relationship with God. Unlike the American country, He will not abuse the friendship, is far more capable of protecting this tiny nation and is the only being powerful enough to restore Korea to unified status, regardless of the opinions and opposition from the surrounding nations.

I really would love to meet this guy and tell him what a nob I think he is.
In god we trust! |

I'm starting to think the Korea Times is a spin off from The Onion or the Daily Mash. |

So what exactly does this master of language mean when he states " America happened to be used of God to protect the Korean people and ensure their survival, though a half country was saved for whatever reason. That half country is still used of God to provide the fleeing North Koreans with a sanctuary."
What is used of God? He uses it numerous times, and I still don't get the context. Am I just retarded, or is it poorly written?
Also, they should really stop posting tripe from him. That whole article is a farce. But I would like to see his follow-up article interview with himself. I also realise that's an older article, but really, haven't they figured out he is an idiot yet? |

That's kind of how Hitler started!
He'd be a cool guest at a dinner party though!
Having seen a couple of photos of him, I guess he's more of a fast food kind of guy though! |

Korea times must have no real submissions. Maybe they are really scrapping the bottom of the barrel. |

I like to know why he has to state that: "I was talking to an American teacher... " Why does the word teacher come into the equation with everything he writes.
He just has some grand vendetta against NET working in Korea and just generalizes.
Not a very intelligent man at all! |

I would certainly not grant him a Ph.D. if I were an adviser, and I wouldn't want him in program. One does not invoke God when one seeks to be taken seriously regarding world events. He speaks about imposing values on others while many Koreans are Buddhists and atheists and without a religion.
What he is saying is that America was merely an instrument of God when it long protected South Korea from North Korea, and God is using half of Korea (South Korea) so that it can be a place of shelter and sanctuary for North Koreans. Do you get it now? I can translate his other ideas.
I have more respect for the National Enquirer than the Korea Times.
As far as whether South Korea would exist, up until at least the 1980s, North Korea had the capability of beating South Korea in a conflict, and we're talking about a time long after the Vietnam War was over, and the Korean contributions during the Vietnam Conflict/War were appreciable, but not huge. The Australians also sent troops.
The author in question also makes it seem as if the Russians and Americans necessarily wanted a divided Korea. The Russians moved into the North before the Americans did. If the Americans had their druthers, Korea would be one and capitalist. In the same way, Russia backed the Chinese communists and America backed the Chinese led by Chiang-Kai Chek.
Many Americans do think that more Koreans should appreciate the fact that the United States lost thousands of soldiers in that war and has spent billions on Korea's defense and infrastructure. Has that debt been paid? No. The US still spends a lot of money to have troops in Korea. Korea doesn't pay a fair share of the cost.
If there is no danger from North Korea, now, and South Korea has paid off its debt, let's have our soldiers back in Iowa, New York, Texas, California etc.... Let South Korea fend for itself against the North.

Someone posted a link in another thread that provided pictures but it wasn't the right guy.
How about someone posting links to pictures of the actual guy so that more unfortunates don't get hated on because of this one waked-out-likely-to-go-postal-twisted-fruit-of-the-religious-loom nutter? |
