I will hopefully have a new job in March of 2012. I've been on my current E-2 visa for three years. I've only left the country for 2 weeks in August for vacation, but came back to Korea still under the same contract.

If I get the new job, will I have to get a NEW FBI check? Immigration currently has a copy of my apostatized FBI check and have accepted it. They also have a copy of my apostatized degree as well.

You should be fine for an extension or transfer if they have both on file.

If you apply for a new visa then it changes to a "maybe but unlikely".

Thank you for your response! I appreciate it. I'm engaged right now to a Korean woman and might go the F-2 route soon enough. You're saying I would probably need a new FBI check for that visa?
