That is really sad. But I understand where they're coming from. A friend was part of a hiring committee of a university president secretary. He recommended who he thought was the most qualified candidate and was snickered at because she was the least attractive applicant. She never had a chance,

Didn't it come out of the closet years ago with the horrific movie about the fat girl who has [enough] surgery [to realistically probably kill herself] then gets her man and becomes successful by singing Blondie's "Maria"?
