I'm currently working in a hagwon with my contract due to end January 16th. I'm going home for a month and am hoping to get a ps job for the february intake. I'm working with a recruiter to find said ps job.

I'm just confused over one thing. I got my police check a couple of weeks ago from a police station where I'm living. This is what my friend did. However, I heard now that if I'm applying for a new visa I need one from the UK as well? Is this true?

I have all my documents except for my apostilled degree copy which I'm waiting for from the UK. Waiting on a police check and another apostille will set me back at the very least, two weeks. What are my options? Is it possible to get a visa transfer if you go back to your home country?

apologies if this has been asked a million times.

If you are waiting for your apostilled degree then you must have just missed the rule change last year. So as far as I know you'll need the UK police check to be apostilled too.

I am British and did both for my current job which started in Feb.

IF you are switching from a hagwan to a PS job you will need a new set of documents (employer requirement) even though immigration would let you simply do a transfer and not require a new visa.

Sorry, just to get this straight. I am moving from hagwon to ps. So even if I do a visa transfer I'll need new documents?

Probably, yes. It is not an immigration issue, it is an employer issue.
