Gimpo makkeolli in blue bottles (as far as I can tell by the label and taste) contains no additives. It's brewed traditionally, simply from rice. The taste is only a little sweet, and so to me it's about the best I've had.
So if you're tired of drinking makkeolli that tastes of diet soda, try this! |

What's up with the aspartame in Mokkoli? I like to drink the local Geumjeongsan stuff in Busan. I was shocked to find aspartame on the label, along with plenty of advertisements about how it's natural live mokkoli and has been made there for 500 years. |

느린 마을 (Neurin Maeul) doesn't have aspartame either. I've seen it at Lotte Mart and a shop of theirs near Dobongsan. |

Besides possible health effects, I would just prefer a more sour natural taste to the diet cokish taste of aspartame. |
