The prices seem absolutely out of control.
8,500 won for a "single" (the smallest, most basic burger on the menu) not including fries or drink.
Granted it's been a few years since I've been to Fatburger in LA, but I think this only costs about $2-$3 in the US.
I guess it is Apgujeong and many Koreans seem to buy into the expensive=quality mentality, but in the end it is just another fast food burger. Better than McDonals or Burger King, sure, but not better enough to justify triple the price. |

To be fair, it's a chain that could only exist in liberal enclaves where the hipster irony will hit home. |
You seem about as clueless about Fatburger as Floating World.
Fatburger is often in ghetto locations like Compton and Inglewood. The people who own Fatburgers include Magic Johnson, Montel Williams, E-40, Pharrell, Willie Anderson, and Orlando Brown. It's owned by blacks and is often marketed towards blacks. |
Simply not true... they're spread in more places than you might think. They used to have shops in Irvine, Costa Mesa, and Newport Beach. |
Do yourself a favor. Buy a dictionary and familiarize yourself with the word "often" which I used twice in my reply. Often is different from exclusively, which seems to be the word you read it as.
Then learn to read things in context. Floating thinks that Fatburger can "only exist in liberal enclaves" and I was showing him how wrong he was. |

Unless you were in LA back in the 60s or 70s, I doubt you bought any Fatburgers for $2. A burger, fries and drink can easily run $12-15 depending on the toppings. And the egg makes it taste so much better.
The Korean prices seem in line with the American version. Maybe $1 more expensive. |

I've seen so many burger shops being shipped here to Korea (Johnny Rockets, McDonalds, Burger King, etc.)... do we really need another one? |
YES. I would rather not have my only burger options be Lotteria and Kraze Burger. |

A small is $2.99, a medium is $4.49 and a large is $5.49. Unless the "single" referred to above is a large then I'd have to agree it's overpriced. |

I was assuming a L with what looked like an egg in the picture. That would be $6.49 plus tax. |

It could be. But whether the 8500 includes the egg or not is unclear from the description.
I hope you're right. |
