AFter I couldn't get it at What the book in Seoul I just ordered it on Amazon. A few people had told me to not bother because the author's blog was so offensive but honestly it was a good read. The story was pretty entertaining and the characters were very familiar. Whats most bizarre I think is that Korean people are actually portrayed very favorable compared to the foreigners in the book. For what I heard about Willis I expected different. I don't live in Daegu but I have friends there who reckon it matches pretty well with reality, and also it reminds me even of Busan.
One problem is that it took two weeks to arrive in the mail. I went to What the book last time I visited Seoul and they didn't have it. If you got a Kindle though it's no problem. A bit late for xmas but I still recommend it highly. |

His blog wasn't offensive so much as it was absolutely ridiculous. In the grand scheme of drunken foreigners, Willis seemed to be the drunkest foreigner. The guy can seriously write though. |

Maybe thats another complaint. Too much alcohol. The book was great except a bit repetitive with all the drinking. |
