I've been trying to get a teaching job in Korea for the first time. I'm obviously pretty inexperienced with this whole process so I would appreciate if someone could answer a few questions.
Firstly does anyone know anything about MnJ Consulting for recruiting? I can't seem to find anything online. Likewise for the E-kids school in Gimhae.
I'm just a little weirded out because I interviewed with the school and literally the next day got a response from the recruiter saying they really want to hire me. But, I was able to email a current teacher at the school and everything seems pretty reasonable and legit (including the contract).
I told the recruiter I would accept the position, and she asked me to send:
-Apostilled copy of degree
-Apostilled FBI criminal check
-Signed contract
-4passport size photos
-copy of passport
-self medical check
-resume
Just wanted to make sure this is the standard protocol, because as you know some of these documents are like gold (4 months to get the apostilled CRC).
Any responses/insights would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot. |

I would be quite hesitant to send my Degree to them. It's still early morning here. See how others chime in before you decide. Best of luck to you. |

All standard and required as the initial application for the visa confirmation number. Nothing out of the ordinary and no particular red flags waved in anything you have said. This is the point of no return.
After you send the documents you are well on your way. The rest of the process from this point on takes from 12-21 days.

COPY of the degree with apostille - not the original and it is a requirement for the visa confirmation number not an option. No worry.

Yup, copy of the appostilized degree. That's what I meant to say. Keep the original. |

Alright, thanks. I actually have 2 original degrees so it's not an issue. |

I have my original degree that I got from my school when I graduated. When I found out I would need another one to send to Korea, I ordered another notazrized degree from my school and had that apostilled. Will this not be accepted? |

It will be accepted.
You will lose it.
K-immi will not return any documents they take for your application.
