America is a police state.
America beat the British Army in the Revolutionary War. It beat an expeditionary force.
America was the most important part of the British Empire.

"You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass."
--Isoroku Yamamoto
It has been declared this attribution is "unsubstantiated and almost certainly bogus, even though it has been repeated thousands of times in various Internet postings. There is no record of the commander in chief of Japans wartime fleet ever saying it." |

You can get a cold from being cold |
Not sure about the first one
But the 2nd one is not false, you literally can (NOT 100% though)get a cold from being cold. (because your immune system tends to get weaker in cold temperature, thus germs can attack you more easily)
Lots of people get a cough, stuffed nose after their respiratory tract being exposed to the cold air, you can get a bronchitis even without any germs. |

That's as maybe but people don't say, 'Don't go outside without a jacket or you might get herpes', do they? |

If you look at a map, people in cold northern climates in general live longer. Colds, and Viruses thrive in warm humid climates too. Even in the U.S. states with cold dry air have higher life expectancies than ones in the warm humid parts of the country (the exception of Hawaii with universal health care).

Maybe I am judgmental, I decided not to check those links as soon as I read the domain names.
Also getting a cold doesn't has anything to do with life spans. ( i mean the more colds you get doesn't mean you will live shorter life, so far as I know)
Just as in the post which talked about colon cancer, a high cancer incidence doesn't mean people live shorter life in general. |
