Paul will not win the Republican nomination and I really wish people would stop pushing that as a possibility. You're just getting your hopes up for nothing. |
Paul is in first or second place in the first two primary states and I really wish you'd stop being so negative and closed to the possibility. If he does win, you realize you'll have no credibility left, right? |

On the other hand, if he is right, his credibility goes up. It almost gives me a reason to care about the Republican primaries.
Now, that Paul has dissed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 on CNN, I think Paul's chances in the South just increased greatly. Of course, his chances with non-whites is probably going to take a serious hit. I wouldn't be surprised if it is near zero but I am sure somebody will have a link to prove me wrong. |

So Iowa will start voting over night (our time.)
This isn't about the results, I just think it's important to point out:
It's basically a 3-way split at this point - Romney, Santorum, Paul.
This lines up with the exact thing I predicted would happen early last year.
The Republican party is going to split: The GOP, The Tea Party (teavangelicals), and The Libertarians.
The Big Tent is coming down, it's more of a 3 ring circus. |

Final Poll before Iowa Caucus now available
It's basically a dead heat in that poll. However, Santorum could continue his momentum for a higher finish. Also, 62% of respondents were older than 45. If younger voters participate in above-average numbers (as the Paul camp expects) Paul could pick up more votes as well. This could easily end up with Romney in 3rd behind both Paul and Santorum! I'll revise my previous prediction and go with:
Iowa:
Paul
Santorum
Romney
Gingrich
Leading to New Hampshire:
Romney
Paul
Huntsman
Gingrich
Which then leads to a very unpredictable South Carolina! |
Pretty good predictions. I'd put my money in that direction as well. |

With only 13% of the total vote tallied, Ron Paul is winning by 170 votes (24%), vs 23% for Romney & Santorum in second and third place respectively, a virtual tie. |

30.9% of the vote in, still 3-way tie. Go Santorum! I disagree with nearly all his views, but admire him for his effort and will be amused by the reaction if he pulls it off. |

Ron Paul leading solidly in Polk County (Des Moines' county). With only 27% reporting, he has 27.7% of the vote, Mitt Romney 21.7%, Rick Santorum 20.5%. |

Well remember, it is the same state that Huckabee won in 2008 and we know how he turned out. |

Maybe, but its do-or-die for Ron Paul. NH should be a natural fit for Ron but its a home game for Romney. So I feel Ron Paul has to win Iowa. |
