Do documents (certified CBC/degree) have an expiration on them? I got all my documents ready over the Christmas break when I was visiting home, but I'm in no rush to start working.

Just wondering if I need to use them by a certain point.

Also, semi-related. Is it possible to switch from a student visa (D4) to an E2 in country, or do you have to leave?

The CBC has a shelf life of 6 months from date of issue. (6 calendar months from date of issue till the application lands on the desk at Kimmi.)

You would need a visa run to go from D4 to E2. Japan is the most common and, typically, the employer pays for the run (air/hotel - an overnight stay is required).

Great!
Thanks ttompatz.

We should really take all of your responses and make an FAQ or something.

Unlike the CBC, a copy of your dipoma certified by a Korean embassy or consulate does not expire. Immi accepted one from me last year dated 12 years earlier.
