He's coming here to visit, and i can take off work ONE night.
A co-worker suggested Namsan. I think it would be good so he can see the city and take in all of the views.
Is the Tower open late?
Where else, if you had one night would you take him? |

I should mention I prefer to show him impressive sights, more than clubs. Cool Korean sites that is something he wouldn't see back in America. |

Samcheong-dong is really cool: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samcheong-dong. You get a view of the business district around Myeongdong while being in a neighborhood of old hanok. It's also near Insadong, which has a halfway decent vibe of its own. Namsan's not a bad idea, either. Depending on how well traveled he is in Asia, I might recommend Myeongdong, as the crush of people and the energy there is kind of impressive if it's your first time in the East. |

You could do Insadong before Samcheong-dong, too. Lots of great temple food style restaurants in Insadong. Tons of side dishes, delicious... highly recommended if you don't have dinner plans set. |

You could also take him to the hagwon you attend, so he could watch you learn basic grammar and capitalization rules under the tutelage of a NET. |

My initial read was that he was talking about a rapper or a comedian...

If you start out the evening in Insa-dong/Samcheong-dong, you can walk along Cheonggyecheon to get to Myeongdong, which would do well to tie the experience together. All that is about the best Seoul has to offer in terms of sightseeing in an evening. |
