Interesting story. I wasn't aware of the corruption that exists in Korea until this year. I see a number of Universities were either reprimanded or put out of business recently for bribes and other "irregularities" I think it was 30-40 of them, but I can't recall the total. I'd always thought of Korea as pretty clean in those terms....guess I was a bit naive!! |

I don't recall the story but didn't President Lee pardon a Samsung exec a few years back after clearly being convicted of bribery or something?
Honestly, I don't see the connection to the parking tickets being wiped clean?
At any rate, in my mind this was about corruption in the Korean educational system........just my two cents of course. |

Id be really interested to see a list of those unis if anyone has them. |

| The Principal of my former elementary school was found guilty of a) taking bribes in return for favours, and b) banging a married teacher. Both acts are totally illegal of course. His punishment? He was transferred to another school. |

I'd like to see a link as well...All I was able to find on Google was 2 Korean universities charged.

As I recall it was in the Korea Times and not that long ago.There weren't a lot of details but it seemed like there were bribery and other financial "irregularities" that finally went too far. |

Lee Myung Bak pardoned the Samsung chairman after he was convicted of embezzlement and tax evasion ($39 million personally and another $3.8 billion within the company). He pardoned him so the chairman could retain his membership in the Olympics Committee and help bring the Olympics to South Korea.
He was also pardoned for the stock manipulation to sell the stocks at below market value to his son (I believe) so the control of the company would remain within the family.

| Actually its thanks to me he got off. Just remember if you are ever in a similar situation then call Goldmembers "hire a wheelchair and pajamas service". Just rock up in court in a wheelchair wearing pajamas and you too can commit various crimes such as bribery, assault with a deadly weapon, sexual assault etc. For those serious crimes we suggest you utilise the Goldmember gold package this will include a respirator and a nurse pushing your wheelchair. |

It sounds like an excellent service. I see Hosni Mubarek is a proud purchaser of your PJ's and wheelchair program.
Hard to tell if it will work for him but it's obviously not the fault of your fine product!! |
