Still returns this message: Resident Registration Number is not Valid !

Make sure you write your name EXACTLY how it is written on your ARC. Mine is written as LAST FIRST MIDDLE with no punctuation. I had the same error you had, but then changed my name around and it worked again.

Dear MollyBloom,
Thank you for that unusually thoughtful response. However, I have, in fact, followed that thought already to a tee. I did type my name exactly as written on my ARC -- surname first, first name second, middle name third, all in CAPS, just as it is on my ARC. Nonetheless, it isn't accepting my order. Go figure.

I didn't enter my name at all...not even my address. I put xxx in my name and address boxes(got tired of entering it just to have my number refused). Then just entered my number to see if it was working...and it accepted it.

When I checked my billing address, it was all still good to go...name and address the same as it was when CJ was handling things.

Did you already have your cart full?
I had an order waiting to send for the past week...but was refusing to use the check the box and blow some random customs agent method.
I just kept checking everyday to see if it would accept my number.
After my chat with them last night...today it worked.

Maybe they still have some bugs to work out.
Again...best of luck to all with this.

Well, everyday I try once again to place my order using my ARC number. Once again, it gave the "not Valid" response.

Try typing in your name and ARC number AND checking the box. Might work for you that way. It seems to have registered mine now, but I'll have to wait for when my order arrives to confirm whether it'll be delivered without needing to provide passport info.

Just an update: It didn't work for me. I got a call from customs asking for my ARC number and verification of my name etc. Will take an extra 3 days to arrive now because of this. Extremely frustrating.

So basically any delivery from this company requires you send customs your arc? Ugh.

Well, it's been 5 days since the last time I tried getting it to work with my ARC number.

And tonight it worked. So, I'm guessing that it probably works for anyone with an ARC number at this point.

Cheers.

I got my order delivered to me on Friday.
Ordered it last Saturday.

It came straight to my home...no delay at customs.

I was a little worried about that, but no problems.
Just made another order and hope things go as smoothly.

Best of luck to everyone with this.

I hadn't placed an order in a few months, and needed to stock up on a few things, and checked the box that said that I didn't have a Korean number. It says they will call me for a copy of my passport when it gets to customs. I have a couple of questions.

1. Do they mean that they will call me for my passport or ARC ID number?
2. Will this be an every-time thing or one off? I don't love the idea of having to wait another 3-5 days. I'm not ordering as much from them this year (resolution to not shop online very oftenas in every other month as opposed to once a week) but I hate the idea of having to do this every time. It used to be easy!

When I got the call, they just wanted to know my ARC number and to confirm my full name. I got the package delivered the next day, so it didn't take that long overall. I've recently ordered something else so will see whether it'll come straight through this time or whether I'll get another call. Here's hoping all the kinks in the system have now been fixed.

Waiting for a package now. I used the Korean Post Express shipping. 6 items about 100 dollars. Also used my ARC number instead of Korean Resident Number.

I know the package is in my side of the city. Just not here yet. Have to see if they will ask for ID or what. So far it has been about 6 days from ordering.

I think it would have been quicker if my old address had not be used when I ordered. I was certain I entered my new address (changed jobs). Think the Iherb site chose my default aka old address. Well a day was added to the process with having to call up Korea post and getting them to change the address. Which is freaking great - I mean I mess up and I can get the package address changed!

The tracking order system is nice but all in Korean (but usable with a nice greasemoneky translator script). Plus using firefox. But it does not register till the package enters Inchon airport. So if you order give it an extra day or two till you see something on the website. As typical of a Korean site it may ask to install some software - you do not have to - click cancel.

Things are looking good. Just waiting now for the package.... tap tap tap.

Well it came! Of course I was out for lunch while it came to my school. So no asking for ID or number.

So to sum up Order on Jan 25th. Received on Jan 31st. Add extra day because of smeg up by either me or iherb web site about address. So I guess a 5- 6 days in all.

Used my ARC number in where it asked for Korea Resident Number.

Not bad Iherb!

If the next order goes as well.

It didn't ask for my ARC number last time I ordered. Maybe it's just for new accounts.

PS. Use code KOL914 for a 10$ rebate on your order. If you order more than 60$, you get an additional 5% discount. Shipping is free to Korea on orders over 40$. I paid 4$ for shipping by DHL for my last order because it was less than 40$.
