I just say the 2012 EPIK Busan contract... Only notable change I saw was now they want 60 days notice to quit, not 30.

Actually I got to thinking.. There was one other item that could have bite. There is a statement that IF you are under the 22 hours and they ask you to teach outside of normal hours. They will pay 8000 instead of the normal 20,000. Will they stretch your work day for after hours classes ?????

I hope it still has that clause, "If the employee agrees to work outside of normal working hours..."

Basically you can refuse anything over 8 hrs. of work, regardless of your teaching schedule. I hope that is still the case.

As far as I know they've never paid 20,000 won for extra classes if you are UNDER your 22 hours?

That statement doesn't make any sense.

They do if you teach a class outside of your normal teaching hours..

e.g. you work 8-4 and they ask you to teach an afterschool class from 5-5:45, they would pay you 20,000.. But sounds like now it will be 8

Ahh...well that sucks much. But it seems odd that they would schedule outside of your normal hours if had free time within your normal hours. Even after 6th period, there's plenty of time for after school classes that don't run late.

I remember if you worked outside of school hours getting 30,000 won an hour whether I did 22 hours or not. D@mn this prolonged American downturn. It's really ruined this country by flooding it with too many foriegners and killing everything from money making to the exchange rate. Let's all pray for a a recovery. Hopefully, then, wages will gradually start to go up again and Korean employers will be put back in their place again.... Thank you very much Mr. O b ama.
