|
|
Can anybody give me some contact details of some schools that specialize in teaching adults? I realize it's difficult to find these jobs without an F2 or without being in the country...that being said, I would be happy to pay my own flight out to a job with adults within a reputable company.
Thank you for your help. |

I just arrived here 2 weeks ago, and am working in an adult hagwon. It turned out to be great so far.. they treat me well, good pay, and low hours. Unfortunately, it is a small school, and they only have 2 of us Americans working. Just keep looking with some recruiters... and talk to a teacher before you accept a job. It will come sooner or later.. |

I know there are a hand-full of public schools that cater just old people that didn't finish school back in the old days. Mostly really old women. However I don't really know much about them. |

Google around for the big franchise chain hakwons and see if they have an adult's only branch. Then look for the locations of those adult branches, and email or mail them directly.
If they respond, be sure to make sure they are adults-only and not "mostly adults" because some schools that are mostly kids but have a few adult classes will advertise as adults-only.
Like you said, it is hard to find and land an adults-only gig without an F series visa or being in country. You can give it a try though.
But also consider, most people seem to find the split shifts of adult hakwons too big a grind. I didn't if the school didn't stagger my classes throughout the day. If it was a true split shift, and I had enough time to sleep, I was fine with split shifts, but many people on here complain a lot about them... |

There's always Wall Street Institute; only adults and no split shifts. |
