Hello
My alien registration card is taking a long time to get created. Do I need it to sign up for national insurance and pension, or is a passport enough? I'm guessing I need the ARC, but if not I'd like to sign up for those two asap. Thanks for any info.

It took me about 3 weeks for my ARC card. My school signed me up automatically for insurance and pension, I didn't have to actually do anything. It came out of my first full paycheck as I didn't have my ARC when I got my first check for two weeks.
So, yes, you do need your ARC. |

| yeah, i'm pretty sure the school will sign you up for those things, you don't need to do it yourself. |
