My wife and I are considering a move to a new location. It makes the most sense for us to live close to where we work but housing costs in Seoul are pretty bad as we all know.
I wanted to know if anyone works/worked at a university in Seoul that provided an apartment that could fit a family? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. |

In all honesty, every school can differ. If I were you, I would look at getting your own place. Try to get the school to offer you either partial key money, or a certain amount per month. Keep in mind that they are getting a "deal" by having two of you together. For example, they might offer 300,000 per month in housing stipend to an individual teacher, but you are a couple... will they give you 600,000? |

Most of the better jobs offer housing allowance (or a decent enough salary so that you can afford your own place). I wouldn't bank on them providing family housing, since they likely won't be willing to put down more than 500,000 per month.
You say you want to live close to where "we" work. Does this mean you and your wife will be applying at the same universities? Depending on where you're applying and what your qualifications are, that could be either a good thing or a bad thing. |
