I haven't heard anything about that.
Sounds like your Boss is looking for some information to hold over your head. |

That is a new twist for an owner. If we have to be healthy, I'm in strife. |

Some like to check our health - it can't be law though ...
your owner is just blowing you smoke when he pulls the 'it's the law line'
I'd refuse - but it depends how on a) what you got wrong with you
b) how much you like your job....

Get a Korean friend to contact immigration to find out what the requirement is. However, I would highly doubt that there is a health requirement.
Regrettably, some think that foreigners are dirty barn animals. A previous employer of mine was difinitely of this line of thinking. I had chronic sinusitus for 7 months but when I asked for help to buy an appropriate air purifier, he refused and told me that it was because my appartment was too dirty and that I needed to shower more often! Funny since my apartment is always clean and I shower every day. It couldn't be the pollution, the gas heaters or air-conditioners that are so common in Korea could it?! Later, he sternly told the foreign staff, "Don't SARS" and tried to explain that foreigners are dirty so, "don't SARS".
Good luck! |
