So I've been asking my recruiter to find me a job in the same city. Well they kept pushing me to work in Seoul, even though I don't want to (heaven forbid that I don't want to work in Seoul) well I found a new job here after I interviewed for one through my recruiter. I told the recruiter that sorry I found another job and thanks for helping me. I get a text saying "are you play with me? Okay I let you back your country. you never expect to have release letter. I will your attitude made me do that. watch out back... Is there anything they can do to me or that i can do to them? I'm a little torn up about this to be honest...

If he can actually convince your current employer not to give you a release letter that could cause problems for you. At least that seems to be the threat he is making. But that is only troublesome if you even need a release letter to begin with. You haven't told us enough about the situation to determine that. If you don't get a release letter it could potentially make the visa transfer process more complicated, but he can't prevent you from taking the job that you want.

edit... I just read your other post. if your contract at the first school is finished then you have nothing to worry about.

quite simply ignore him.
He can't do anything to you.
Just block his phone and e-mail.
problem solved.

Thanks for the quick replies! Ok I can breathe a sigh of relief then. I was worried about the LOR thing so that's great! Thanks a lot!

you can also help out other foreigners and let his name and company
be known so other foreigners will not have to deal with him.

I've been reading other posts about LOR I know you said I didn't need the LOR to transfer, but I've been reading other posts that say i do need one. What if I can't get a LOR from my current employer even though my contract is up? I only have 2 and half weeks left until the end of my contract. I was going to renew at my school, but things have gone south and now I don't want to and plus they never gave me a new contract. Anyone have experience with this?

If you contract is finishing then you don't need a letter of RELEASE. When the period of the contract is over, it's over. You no longer have any obligations to the school. You are released. The LOR is only needed if you want the boss to release you from the contract EARLY.

Don't post his name or company here until AFTER you are settled into your next job.
