| This is kind of off-topic, but how much do fast food style chain pizza stores charge for their pizza? Places like dominos, pizza hut, etc. I remember hearing somewhere that large pizzas from say dominos in Tokyo cost upwards of $30 US. Is it the same for Korea? |

Also the case but some non-Western chains exist which charge $5-$10 for a lower-quality pizza. |

| My kitchen. Every Italian eatery I've ever been to in Korea is way overpriced and remarkably unexceptional. We don't waste the time or the coin anymore, we just make it ourselves. And don't get me started on the wine prices at restaurants. |
Yeesss...pasta, it ain't that hard, people... |

| Mezzaluna in the Seoul Finance Center was solid, but a bit pricey, and while good and all, was not exceptional. The spinach ravioli was certainly acceptable and it had the air of fine dining. It certainly wasn't Koreanized. For 40% less, the place would be great. But it was nice to get handmade pasta that wasn't cooked up to common local tastes. This was reflected in the clientele which consisted mostly of expat business types and clearly lived overseas well-to-do Koreans. |

I agree with the opinions on The Pizza Peel. It's the best pizza I've tasted in Korea so far.
As for Italian, I would recommend Jina and Frano's at Seoul National University. The chef is Italian.
Actually, my boyfriend and I run a website that allows users to go on a review foreign restaurants in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. You can find a huge database of restaurants and reviews here. It would be great if you could leave reviews of any positive or negative dining experiences you've had.

Best Italian food is at The Kitchen inside the Somerset in Insadong.
Anguk Station- exit 6 I believe. The Somerset is a hotel/long term hotel. It's a high rise and if you look up after exiting the subway you can't miss it.
You'll walk into the hotel and be able to see the restaurant from the main entrance. I had the gnocchi, and it was absolutely amazing. My date and I split the octopus and rocket greens appetizer. Well seasoned and some of the best octopus I've ever eaten. He had clam and zucchini pasta and it was nice as well.
It's a bit pricey, appetizer was 16,000won and my gnocchi was 23,000won. Was it worth it? Absolutely.
Plus side: It's not crowded and an excellent spot for a date. Excellent atmosphere and very western. And no pickles on the table! |

Depends on whether you pick up or deliver. A large Pepperoni would probably run you around 20,000-25,000 delivered. The specialty pizzas will be about 30,000.
But many places have promotions like 30% off if you order online and pickup in person (dominos), or 20% off if you place an online order (papa johns). Also, they have monthly specials on certain pizzas (like buy one, get a free side).
The best place I've ordered from that delivers is Pizza Heaven. Their large pizza is a real LARGE pizza. And the taste is jsut like Western Pizza.
Their medium pizzas use a different kind of dough I think, and doesn't taste right. Try the large pepperoni or the Hawaiian. |

Your website is well-designed, and I'll definitely look around for restaurants and add anything I think ought to be. Nothing in or near COEX though? I'm surprised... |

An Italonia is above the Lexus car dealer by Noksapyeong subway station, and based on the lone time I ate there, it's OK.
The funny thing is, Italonia is a chain with a branch in just about every mall in Manila, the Philippines, but just one branch in Korea? Hmm. |
