Some foreigners are teaching online for extra money these days... Is this still considered illegal work under the E-2 visa?

If not, does anyone here do it or have any recommendations for how to get started?

Thanks!

If the company is based in Korea and the income is earned in Korea then odds are it is illegale under the E2.

I suspect (correct me if I'm wrong) that you COULD accept an online teaching gig if you first obtained permission from your employer/immigration. As long as you are working for a company (rather than setting up clients on an individual basis), it wouldn't be that complicated to file the paperwork...right?

It's probably best to keep your mouth shut.

Not sure if it's legal, but no one is going to die over it.

Indeed no one will die over this. However, a person could get busted and have to pay a susbstantial fine for not respecting the visa rules of their sponsored work visa.
