This is my first post on the forum.

I'm wondering how long it will take me to get to Korea. I just sent my paperwork in for the FBI background check. Once I get it back I can have it Apostilled (along with a copy of my diploma, CELTA, and maybe a sealed transcript) in a few days.

Once I have those items and I start working with recruiters how long do you think it will take me to start work. Right now I'm only looking at Hagwons, I'm not planning on EPIK because the start date isn't until September.

Any ideas?

There are individual job postings of Public School jobs with EPIK & GEPIK here on Dave's. If you search hard then you'll be able to find some. These have starting dates out with the traditional March/September starting times if you don't want to start in September.

Completely depends on your own 'statistics' (Are you white, female and American? Pack your bags!) and how picky you are regarding location etc. Doesn't the FBI check take about a month to clear? I'd say you could easily be out there 2 months from now then, give or take.

The time frame for getting YOUR documents in order depends on you, where you live and whether you can do it in person or have to do it all by mail. In the states it usually takes a couple of months to get everything ready.

Once you have your paperwork in order the time frame for finding "any" job is about 2-3 weeks. Finding a "good" job can take 1-4 months.

AFTER you find your job and sign the contract the process takes between 12-21 days from mailing the hard copies to Korea till you get on the plane.

I wouldn't lose hope, until you have most documents in hand you won't get many offers.

The second you have your apostilled CBC you should start getting offers.
