Sorry not reading this whole thread, but it needs to be said:
YOU CAN. NOT. SPOT. REDUCE.
At least without surgery. You have to lose fat the hard way (low carb, high fat and protein diet and resistance training with a LITTLE NOT A LOT of cardio) but it comes off however it wants. Anyone who tells you there's a non surgical way of spot reducing is lying. |

Yep. I ran/jogged from the time I was 20 up until my early 40's...At age 43, I developed severe pain in my right knee. During an MRI, they found a torn medial meniscus and during arthroscopic surgery, the doc also found damage to my ACL and arthritis on my lower knee. I was told that all the damage was probably due to my running, which was both on concrete and grass. Needless to say, my running days are over but I do still powerwalk on softer surfaces. |
Wow! Sorry to hear that bud. Hope it works out for you. I do a lot of biking. It seems to work for me. |

Low carb yes. High fat no. But why a little, not a lot of cardio? Doesn't make sense unless you're thinking too much cardio is going to cause you to lose muscle. Which isn't true. |

Too much cardio causes people to lose muscle...no doubt about it.
Any time I overdo my cardio training...I lose muscle mass.
One of the main reasons you don't see bodybuilder frames in marathons...the two don't mix well.
That being said...if you want to get ripped...high intensity resistance training plus the right amount of cardio...and low carbs.
I am not sure what he means by high fat.
Certainly a balanced proportion of protein and fat is required.
Perhaps he meant that the low-fat diet was not such a good idea....which I agree with. |
